Unveiling the One Two Cosmetics Full Lashes Collection

There’s been quite a bit of chatter in the beauty blogosphere about a new product brought to us by One Two Cosmetics: magnetic false eyelashes.

Those of us, myself included, who’ve had some experience with false eyelashes will agree with me that they can be the absolute best beauty accessory you could make use of to take your look to the next level. The added flirtatious femininity of a good set of lashes is something you’ll find hard to give up once you’ve tried out a proper set.

That’s why I was so intrigued to hear that these guys had somehow improved on what I considered to be an already near-perfect solution to thin, short lashes. For all but the pros, one of the biggest gripes we had regarding false lashes, was the whole tricky application process. Applying glue to the area around your eyes takes some amount of steady nerves, and it didn’t quite seem like an ideal situation when all’s said and done.

That’s why I set out to try and see for myself if these new lashes would live up to the hype. Were they comfortable? Easy to apply? Good value for money?

Here’s what I found out:

The package the lashes came in was a cute little case of sophistication, and I was doubly pleased to find that the case itself was magnetized, meaning I wouldn’t have to worry about stray lashes hiding away in every possible nook and cranny of the bathroom. Good move on their part.

Though there are two options available here, the original One Two Lash and the One Two Cosmetics Full Lashes, I went for the new product to see what made it special. The original Lash offers what they call ‘half-coverage’, meaning it’s designed to accentuate the outer corners of the eyes. The Full Lashes, on the other hand, offer ‘full-coverage’, meaning that they will extend all the way from the inner corners of the eyes to the outer corners.

They also produce enhanced (curlier and lengthier), bold (dramatically long and full), and extra bold (unapologetically luxurious lashes) in their line.

Now, to the lashes themselves. To the touch, they seemed to be of a really high quality, with the natural softness and durability you would expect from a quality item. They wouldn’t be out of place on the top shelf of any cosmetics counter.

The magnets are what I was really curious about from the start. How would they feel? Heavy? How would they stay in place? The answers to my questions were as delightful as they were ingenious. The magnets aren’t magnets per se, but ‘micromagnets’, meaning they were incredibly lighter than I would have imagined. That was a big relief off my shoulders because nobody wants to bear weights on their eyes when it’s looking like it’s going to be a long one.

Next up was figuring out how they actually work. I found that each set of One Two Cosmetics Full Lashes came with a top strip and two bottom strips. These sets each have a magnetic strip and these two attract each other to hold your own lashes between them, thus holding them in place. Clever, huh? I thought so.

Application of Full Lashes

With that figured out, the application was even less trouble than such a simple working mechanism would suggest. The applicator included with the lashes plus the clear, simple instructions made it an absolute breeze. It was unbelievable and thinking back on some of the absolute messes I’ve experienced in the past with glue, I have to admit that One Two has really come up with something special here. I don’t see even first-time users having too much trouble here.

The Look and Feel

These lashes are amazing. The magnets that had me so worried barely weighed anything at all, and the full look was a great big slather of icing on the cake. They looked absolutely gorgeous. The natural curve of the lashes coupled with the high-quality material gave me a volume and definition that definitely hit the sweet spot I aim for in a good set of lashes. As they softened a bit they took on the natural curvature of my eyes, making all the more gloriously effective!

Worth the Cost?

When all things are considered, I would definitely consider the One Two Cosmetics Full Lashes to be worth the cash. There quite simply isn’t anything else out there that quite compares with them on every level – gorgeous, easy to apply, no glue, and will give you long use.

Final word: These falsies are definitely worth a shot.
